Our Story

At The Outward Olive, we believe great food has a way of bringing people together. Located in the heart of Crown Point, Indiana, our family-owned business has been helping customers discover exceptional olive oils, balsamic vinegars, and gourmet foods since 2020. Founded by the DeRolf family, we created The Outward Olive from a simple but meaningful wish from our young daughter: “I just wanted to work with my family!” That idea became the foundation of a business centered on family, community, and shared experiences.

When you walk through our doors, you will find more than a specialty food shop. Our inviting store also serves as a tasting room, giving you the opportunity to sample and explore a variety of flavors before choosing your favorites. Our expert instructor will guide you through the process, sharing tips and tricks to make your charcuterie tray a true masterpiece!
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, a valid ID is necessary to participate in the wine tasting portion of the event.
